The short version

• 18 or over only. Or older, where the law where you are says so.
• Free. No subscription, no paid tips, nothing to buy.
• Built from football, not from bookmakers. Our chances come from results, form, expected goals and line-ups. Bookmaker odds are shown beside them to compare, never used to make them.
• Football is unpredictable. Luck decides many matches, and every prediction can be wrong. A 70% chance loses about three times in ten.
• Information, not advice. It is not betting advice and not a tipping service. We take no bets and hold no money.
• Only bet what you can afford to lose. If betting stops being fun, get help.

What this is

SoccerGhost is run by Devroom SA (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2018/281366/07). It publishes statistical estimates about football matches. It is information and entertainment. It is not betting advice, and it is not a tipping service. We do not take bets, hold funds, or process any transaction connected to gambling. Using SoccerGhost is free: advertising and commission on bookmaker links (below) are how it is meant to pay its way, never you.

How the predictions are made

Every probability is a model's estimate, made from football data: three years of results, recent form, expected goals and shots, the confirmed line-ups, and where a match is played. Bookmakers' prices are never an input — where they appear, they are there to compare against. The method is set out in full on the methodology page, and every call is kept in a public record that cannot be changed after the match.

No guarantee, and no claim of one

Football is unpredictable, and luck decides a great many matches. A model's estimate is regularly wrong: a prediction described as 70% is a statement that roughly three in ten of those calls are expected to lose. Nothing here is a forecast of a specific result, and past performance — including the record we publish — does not predict future results.

Any decision to bet is yours alone, and any losses are yours alone. If you cannot comfortably afford to lose what you are staking, do not stake it.

Age and where you are

You must be 18 or over, or the legal minimum age where you are if it is higher. You are responsible for knowing whether gambling is lawful where you are. Where bookmaker prices are not shown, that is deliberate — every prediction and statistic works the same without them.

Your account

An account is optional. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. If you use a recovery phrase, keep it private: anyone who has it can sign in as you, and we cannot read it back to you. You can delete your account yourself at any time, and its slips go with it.

Public names and private leagues

You appear on the league tables only if you choose a public name. A name cannot copy somebody else's in another case, or pass itself off as SoccerGhost; we may also remove a name that is abusive, impersonates somebody, or advertises. A private league is free, has no prizes, and anybody with its code can join it — share the code only with people you want in it.

Fair use

Do not attack, overload or try to break into the site, and do not copy its data in bulk — much of it comes to us from others, under their terms. We may limit or block access that does.

Commercial links

A bookmaker link may earn us a commission. This never affects which price is shown first — the comparison is ordered by what pays you most, and a commercial partner is labelled as one on its own row. We are not responsible for anything that happens on another company's site, including their odds, their terms or their offers.

Availability and change

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available, accurate or uninterrupted, and data reaches us from a third-party provider whose coverage varies by competition. Where something is missing we say so rather than filling the gap.

These terms may change. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top says when it last changed.
