About SoccerGhost

SoccerGhost is run by Devroom SA (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa, registration number 2018/281366/07. It publishes football predictions and match statistics, free, and keeps every prediction it makes in a public record, the ones that lose included.

How the predictions are made

Every probability is the Ghost's own: a model's estimate made from football data, three years of results, recent form, expected goals and shots, the confirmed line-ups, and where a match is played. Bookmakers' prices are never an input; where they appear, they are there to compare against. The methodology sets out the method in full.

The record

Each call is kept in the Ghost Record, which cannot be changed after the match, so how the calls have done is there for anyone to check.

Where the data comes from

Fixtures, results, line-ups, match statistics and bookmakers' prices come from API-Football, a third-party data provider. Its coverage varies by competition, and where something is missing the site says so rather than filling the gap.

How it pays its way

SoccerGhost costs you nothing. Advertising and commission on bookmaker links are how it is meant to pay its way, never you. Neither decides what the Ghost says, and a commission never decides which price is shown first: the comparison is ordered by what pays you most, and a partner is labelled as one on its own row.

What it is not

It is not betting advice and not a tipping service. We take no bets and hold no money. Football is unpredictable: a 70% chance loses about three times in ten. SoccerGhost is for adults, 18 or over, and if betting stops being fun, get help.
